Do any of you plan on moving abroad? I am considering it with all that is going on, plus quality of life concerns. Any thoughts?

You appear to be based in the States? Many outside of the States would appear to want to move to the States so the grass isnt really greener it seems.

Ive been thinking about it for a while but most of my business is offline and local in South Africa so not sure how I'm going to wing it. I've been thinking of England, I'd like to get immersed in some football culture and it should be a good base to travel in Europe.

Lets put it this way, in terms on making money, the Anglo world is where it is at. But in terms of having social equals you can talk to in real life( at least in my town),the looming currency crisis (qe 3 and who knows what else), highest corporate rate in the world, the creeping of fascism into us business, the general attitude of the people, the dating scene, and the comparitive cost compared to other countries, among other things. While I am not saying you shouldn't move here, just keep in mind the various problems you'll face. What I am trying to do is leverage the West's vast buying power, and live for less in another country, and have a greater quality for your buck. So if yor main focus is just business, then the us makes sense. But for other things, such as civil liberties and social connectedness, then consider making money from the West, and expatriating it to your country, or another. (And please note, this is just my opinion, not end all be all. For me, I care about civil liberties and my social life. I also live in a small town, and have been homeschooled. But from what I have gathered from others and college is that unless you have some ways to make inroads into a group, you will have a hard time making friends. But that is just me)

Before I can make a plan, I have a question: How heavy is she?

If you like 'em heavy, why not head on over to Detroit? You will be in Third World, USA without having to leave the country. And just think, all you have to do is give them money to spend on who knows what . Forget the fancy houses and all,you can get a house for less than six thousand dollars! And the food costs are cheap! Three for one special on Twinkies, who would have thought!
