Hi, I'm a newbie recently have started to look around this site.

Recently I've come up with a new business.
I'd like to make a draft marketing plan that mainly targets foreigners.
Since I'm a Korean(South), I have a very vague idea of what do foreigners think about my country.

So I'd like to hear it from people who are interested in marketing. What is Korea to you?

I'd appreciate to hear what you guys think about South Korea. I know Gangnam-style is phenomenal these days but it seems everyone here has very complex thoughts.

I know WF users are all grown up and nice. however, negative opinions will be welcomed as well.

          I think it's called Kimchi?

I've taught Koreans for a long time so maybe Korea for me is:

          1. Full of really hard working people
          2. Everybody values education (a lot of academies)
          3. I think Korea has a really unique perspective on beauty(attractiveness) Most guys like girls doing the "aigyo" (correct me if I'm wrong)
          4. Korea is a leading IT country

I have a lot actually but those are my top 4

As the world gets more connected the term foreigner loses a lot of its meaning. When it comes to commerce I think global. The first thing I think of when Korea is brought up is how the country has rapidly emerged in manufacturing. Samsung was pretty low in the electronics pecking order only 15 years ago. Now they produce some of the best stuff out there.

For me, korea is a a beautiful country, just for your info, I'm from malaysia. Been there for my honeymoon. And I'm really amazed about how modern, harworking and good mentality of korean people. I can see, nowadays korean can start beat japanese in term of technologies development. Salute korean people!
But one think that I don't like, Korean people are all racist. Not friendly with foreigners. Even shopkeeper also prefer to entertain korean rather than tourist like me..DUH..

Korea, South Korea is one of the up-and-coming financial power houses of the shifting world economy.

As a group I view Koreans as a very intelligent, hard working and a more-than-capable people. By more-than-capable I mean that Koreans are more than ready and able to participate in the world economy and politics.

Korea's participation in the changing global demographics is welcome and needed in my ever so humble but usually acurate opinion.
