Video Camera Experts Please Help

Hey, My mother bought me a Panasonic HC-V10 for my birthday, didn't expect a camera but it was a nice surprise as I guess I can make good use of it.

However after reading a few reviews online then seeing the different YouTube videos using the camera I'm still not sure.
The zoom on it is great, but it's not true HD. It's approx 510p and is enhanced up to 720p. Which makes it seem very grainy (like sticking a regular dvd into a bluray, it's slightly better than normal but not as good as the HD). But at the same time some videos were decent quality while others were absolutely terrible.

What I'd like is something good for presentations 1-4meters (3-12foot), half decent macro would also be nice for reviews but that's not a high priority.

Would I be better off trading it back in and getting say one of these:
Sony MHSTS20P Touch Bloggie 8G FullHD Recording 3.0LCD

or

ebay.com.au/itm/FULL-HD-1080p-16MP-2700x-DIGITAL-VIDEO-CAMERA-CAMCORDER

Which seems like some Chinese junk with no brand name and limited warranty. The specs seem pretty nice however and a decent price.

Or trade it back in and get the cash and grab myself a high quality webcam instead. such as the: Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000

Thanks for your input.

Realize that digital zoom is nice, but nowhere NEAR as nice as optical zoom. Optical zoom can be near infinite, but even the best digital zoom is very limited. ALSO, the more fps the better. As for pixels, the higher the number the better the detail can be for the same size picture. There is a lot said about pixels, but that is it in a nutshell. ALSO, the more pixels for the size, the better chance the digital zoom has of being decent.

I wish I could recommend a good model, but specs go all over the place and, last I knew, there was NO camera I would say was hands down THE BEST! Some have the best zoom, or the best pixels, or the best life, or the best FPS, etc... but none is hands down THE BEST. Of course, things a few years ago were FAR better than a few years before that, and now they are likely better still. A camera that used to cost $1000 may be inferior to one that today costs $100.

yeah the optical zoom is x63. which is pretty high and the main focus of this camera. However without FullHD I feel like it's a waste of time anyway, I don't understand why they bothered.
