Both your domains are hosted with Hostgator under one account or you are moving to another web host? In both cases the process should be slightly different.

I do not know which script do you use, the process may be a little different depending on how the script works. However, I would try this:

In this case, you should copy all the files from the domain1 directory to the domain2 directory. Then try to open domain2 in the browser. Maybe the site will work fine.

If not, check out your script and find some config file (usually called config.php, config.inc.php or similar). In this file, there may be necessary to change some settings like the server path to the directory. Try to play with these settings and you will see what happen.

Contact Hostgator and ask them to do it for you.

Being a confessed newbie to such things, it'd probably be a lot faster to just contact Hostgator. You could have had it completed in the time you've been waiting for help here.

As Webhosting hinted, there are a lot of variables involved in the process. While none of the process is difficult, it is difficult to answer your questions blind.

I would suggest either contacting Hostgator or checking out the Warriors for Hire section and have a Warrion do it for you. I can't imagine someone would charge you more than $10-$20.

    Here are my methods,

    1. copy all the file from one domain to another domain.
right click your folder, click move.

    2. redirect the domain
