A bomb was found near a train track not far from where I live. It was described as a makeshift bomb that would have exploded upon impact (not designed to be remotely detonated). Right now they don't know who did it (or aren't haven't said if they have an idea on who might be responsible for it).

Makeshift bomb found on SkyTrain tracks in Surrey; suspicious object at Metrotown confirmed non-explosive (with video)

Now, my wife is suggesting that we move to China.

I wouldn't move all the way to China over that. China has its own set of problems to deal with. It might be a good idea to get out of the crowded city though.

I'm not too hot on moving to China, though they do treat me like a rock star over there (totally undeserved). I sometimes seriously consider moving to South America.

If you go anywhere near Patagonia, I expect an open ended invitation to visit - the agates down there are exquisite! I'd love the chance to go hunting for them.

Argentina is rich with minerals. Here's a shot of petrified forest in Patagonia. Drag the mouse to see it in various angles. Petrified Forest Patagonia I've been there, in Argentina, going all the way to Tierra del Fuego (where they say all mushrooms are edible, including the magic mushrooms I saw growing there I guess).

Wow - look at the colors in some of the rock. I'm sure that the hunter there would find much more than just petrified wood. The agates there are also multi-colored and show extraordinary banding. Some members on my site live in Argentina and win global awards for some of the agates they find in Patagonia.
