    It's cold.
You all live within 50 miles of the US border.
    You're probably too nice.
    You're always talking about boots.

        No! No it's not.

I take it you've never been to Grand Bend, Canada.

It's a favorite vacation spot for hubby and I. They have drag racing at The Grand Bend Motorplex for him and the quaint little shops and the beach for me. The strip before the beach is reminiscent of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but smaller of course.

What do I know about Canada?

        It's full of loonies! Haha!

I know that it is not the little outpost that some folks tend to think it is.I also know that it is not quite as sovereign as most Canadians would like to believe.A great military,a little too politically correct, probably should tighten up the borders a bit.

You do realize that most of that Bruins roster was made up of Canadians, don't you? The Boston Bruins had ONE American on the team... goalie Tim Thomas.

Given those facts, I don't think it's fair to say an "American" team kicked Canada's @ss for the Stanley Cup.

I see your point. What I mean is Alberta has rodeos, oil, opposition to gun control, lower taxes, cowboy hats and boots, residents who unabashedly refer to themselves as, "More American than Canadian." Canada's not really doing so well, overall. Alberta is a hot-spot right now (how long it'll last, I don't know).

Anne of Green Gables was a fictional character, but lots of girls from Japan, dressed like red-haired Victorian dolls, make pilgrimages to her home which is a major tourist attraction.

I'm afraid Canadians' friendly reputation isn't particularly well-deserved. Americans are friendlier in my experience. If you talk to any traveling artist or street vendor who do business on both sides of the border, you'll probably get the same answer.
