Don't Want To Say Goodbye - The Raspberries
I'm sure you all remember their smash intro hit, "Go All The Way" from 1972
and some of their minor followups like "Let's Pretend" and "I Wanna Be With
You" but this song was one of those obscure Raspberries tunes that I found
by accident in a 45 bin. Never heard it on the radio. Hell, didn't even know
it existed.
I took it home and gave a listen and when it was over I had to pick up my
jaw from the floor.
Say hello to the Raspberries greatest accomplishment...a song that only hard
core fans would have ever known existed.
And that's just a damn crying shame.
One of the greatest songs in pop history (IMHO)
