I have been posting on WF lately (I was a long time lurker previously), and am wondering about what I should and should not ask. What are some annoying topics I should not mention? I ask this because I want to be a better member of this forum. Thanks

Try using the search function, as much as you can because...most of the questions are answered there already...

Other than that, I don't see anything else...

In my opinion you should ask about the problems your are facing in real and before asking make a search on this forum as TeamBringIt says using search option. We are here to help each other not to increase post count. So I think I am able to make you understand, right !

The only type of question that I find annoying is the one that is easily answered by a quick Google search. Asking something like 'what is SEO?' and 'what is cPanel?' (both of which I've seen on forums), just shows a very lazy person, in my opinion.

Go google and find out the basics, then come ask a real question that you couldn't find the answer to easily or found contradictory answers.

Use the search function here for the basics, but at the same time, older members need to remember that the search function here is limited. It's not always easy to find what you're looking for so cut people a little slack on asking repeat questions. We all do have a choice to stay out of those threads.

Posts asking if one marketing method or another, or anything for that matter, is "dead"?

Death posts have a tendency to annoy me.

You start multiple threads in one day - and you seldom post anywhere except in the threads YOU start. Not a good practice.

Many of the threads started seem to be someone trying to find something to post about rather than from a member with a real question asking for answers. That said, you seem to get people answering you - so where's the problem?

I understand. Sometime I feel scolded from some members, and so I want to not be so annoying. Also, it seems like there is a line, where it may be there is similar content, but you are asking how it applys to your situation. Anyways, I appreciate the input,

I hate general questions that nobody could actually answer with any acuity without writing full books on the subject. The one that always irks me is - "How do I make money online" - seriously, if you haven't gotten any closer to a plan than this, you don't need to be asking questions yet. You need to be reading, evaluating your own background and knowledge base, and figuring out what you need to do to get enough knowledge to run a business. Then ask questions when you have one that is actually pointed enough that people can actually give you a meaningful answer.

Often it's not "what" is said that's annoying, it's the "way" it's said. Whether it's intentional or not, some people just seem to have a knack for sounding rude, or condescending, or snotty. You don't strike me that way though.

Something else I find annoying is that some people tend to only post to disagree or find fault. They never seem to have anything good to say. People like that should think about all the bridges they are burning.

I think every post one particular user makes on this forum is annoying - he comes here on a "posting spree" a few times a day (in the main forum), and posts meaningless crap every 2 minutes in the top 10 or so displayed threads. He obviously does it to pimp his sig - so I've added him to my ignore list. He's a legitimate spammer, and very annoying.
