I shook hands and chatted with Ashton Kutcher in Sydney. Was also asked to a music video shoot by Madonna but was too scared to show.

Anyone ever met Obama? Mandela? God?

I've met a bunch. When I was a kid I met Ted Williams and got his autograph.

In the 80s I went with a gal in California who knew a lot of celebrities. I met Jamie Lee Curtis, Melanie Griffith and Kathleen Quinlan. I got to hang out on a movie set for three hours watching them shoot a scene for a TV movie, She's In The Army Now, a knockoff of Private Benjamin which was a big hit at the time. Got to chat a lot with them and became friends with Kathy.

I got to meet the guys from Aerosmith in 1985 when my buddy got me a stage pass for their show in Griffith Park in LA. It was their Back In The Saddle comeback tour. Steven Tyler was a wild man. I'd seen them in Revere, Massachusetts in the early 70s before they had a record contract.

I met Nancy Kerrigan a few months after she got the Silver medal for figure skating. I met Tony Robbins once. I have a picture of me and Mark Victor Hansen from the Chicken Soup For the Soul books. I also met his partner, Jack Canfield.

Man, I don't think I've ever stopped to think of how many celebs I've met.

I've met a good number of music related people. Outside of music though I can't think of any.

I played baseball from age five through college. I was the rare left-handed catcher. When I was twelve, I went to a baseball camp and Bob Feller was there. He did a pitching demonstration and asked that I catch for him because he'd never thrown to a "southpaw backstop." Being a life-long Tribe fan and a Bob Feller fanatic, I'm pretty sure it was the proudest day of my dad's life. (I also think the only reason my dad sprung for the cost of the camp was because he'd get a chance to meet him.)

In college I, along with a group of other college kids, got locked down at the United Nations in Belgium because Al Gore was there. He stopped by and shook hands with us. I wasn't a supporter, but it was still a cool experience.

I've met a few other random Z list celebrities and politicians, but nothing to talk about.

I'm sure Tbird will come through and blow us all out of the water.

James Gandolfini - who will always be Tony Soprano in my eyes came into one of my uncles restaurants.

I got a little bit excited and went over like "eh Tony, how you doin?" he laughed and replied "how you doin kid, good?" in a Tony Soprano type accent, hand gestures and everything.

    It was pretty cool...

Ted Nugent, Stevie Miller, Freddy Boom Boom Cannon, Bobby Seger. Al Cooper. I grew up in the Motor City area. They were mostly just locals then - starting to fame, but not there yet. Except for Steve - don't remember where he was from but he used to hang in the Detroit area now and then when he was in college and made it up to the Flint area for several parties. Flint and Detroit were rock central when I was a teenager.

There are a lot of famous people named George. Which are you referring to?

        George of the jungle?

Although he traveled mostly by vine when he was younger, old age has limited his travel options considerably in recent years.

Which would explain any recent sightings of him on a plane.

Not to mention... when he travels by plane, he doesn't have to watch out for any trees!

I thought it might be him, Georgey Porgie, or Boy George -- three famous fictional characters.

Considering his love of The Beatles, I'm assuming he's referring to George Harrison.

I met Soupy Sales at a Rondo Music in Union, NJ where he was doing an appearance for what, I have no idea.

I saw Lindsey Nelson walking down the runway at Shea when my uncle took me to a game once. I was about 20 feet away from him.

I met and learned the songwriting business from the guy who discovered Bon Jovi. His name is Steve Zuckerman.

I was friends with the guy who brought the songwriting team of Levine and Brown together (Tony Orlando and Dawn). Actually, he was my mom's friend and I was just along for the ride. His name was Walter Gollander. He tried to get my songs published but no luck.

My mom, on the other hand, met some of the most famous people in the world when she had her own radio show. This was before I was born and into my early years as a kid. I think by the time I was 5, she was done. I never personally got to meet any of these people but she had their autographed photos hanging in the living room. I have no idea what happened to them after she passed.

Other than that, not much folks. I've had a relatively uneventful life when it comes to meeting famous people.

Well, thanks Dan. I didn't know about his love of the Beatles, which is why I asked. Given his reply, I think I'll just ignore his posts in the future and not waste my time trying to have a conversation with him.

    She is my choice

WOW what a great off topic! Brings back some memories. Met Garth Brooks before he was famous! He was playing at a local amusement park. A lot of other music folks... hung out on the bus with Jon Conley and his band. Also used to hang out with Billy Ray Cyrus when he was the house band at the Ragtime Lounge in Huntington, WV before the Achy Breaky Heart Days! I know I have met several other music folks though, just can't remember them all right now.

Most recently though, Hulk Hogan who is involved with my business along with quite a few other sports and fitness celebrities.

How could I have forgotten this guy. I met Tony Dow back in 1991, actually got to talk to him quite a bit. I was taking care of his mother in the hospital, who had broken her hip. I was an RN for many years. His mother, Muriel, told me all about how Tony got the audition for Wally in Leave It To Beaver. Muriel Dow was actually a celeb of sorts too. She'd been Clara Bow's double back in the silent movie days.
