Dead Celebrity You Wish You'd Met?

I pretend not to be big on celebrities and usually maintain a lifestyle that reflects this (only occasionally donning dark sunglasses, renting limousines, renting $1000 suits, hiring high-priced female escorts, bodyguards, and suchlike, as everybody does sometimes). That said, there are celebrities who've passed away that I would have liked to meet. One of them is Paul Newman, who was a celebrity I respected. Which dead celebrity would you have liked to meet when he/she was alive?

      Lmao. Good one.

Well let me tell ya pilgrim. I would have to say John Wayne.

What really amazes me is the money that still pours in after their dead...

Since you used "celebrities" I assume you mean people in the entertainment business. For me, most would be from the music industry. People like Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Brother Iz come to mind. I'd much rather meet people like Albert Einstein, Carl Sagan, and Abraham Lincoln though.

I'm not into "celebrityism" too much. But similar to Dennis, there's a number of musicians I wish I could have seen live, with Hendrix probably at the top of the list.

Although, Ben Franklin would have probably been fun to party with...

Not really, it was just an exercise...to come up with a trite and distasteful thread premise. Why? Beats me.

In that case, there are a whole lot of historical figures I'd like to have to met, except it means I'd either be dead now or would be the oldest living person.

I'm not much into movie and television personalities though.

I would have loved to meet Lucille Ball! When I lived in L.A., everytime I was in Beverly Hills, I would drive by her house hoping to see her walking outside. I don't know how many times I drove by, but I never saw anyone outside except maybe the help.

I'm not a big celebrity person either but there were a few of the "real stars" I would have liked to meet. Lucy, John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall, a few others.

I worked security for a while at music events, I was never in awe of any of the big bands I worked for. I did however walk out on stage when Aerosmith was playing. That was an experience! The entire Cotton Bowl could see me just standing there with them as they played. They were just people to me, I treated them that way and if they didn't have the proper credentials they didn't get on the stage, no matter how big of a star they were. I wouldn't let David Coverdale and his wife Tawny Kitaen on stage because their passes were only good when they were playing. I made them wait for the stage manager to come around to see if he would allow them up on stage. They waited 15 minutes or more and when he came around and did give me the ok, David Coverdale stopped to shake my hand and thank me for taking my job of providing security for them seriously. I got a big smile from his wife too, who incidently was only in a bikini and high heels. She was a sexy lady at the time, maybe still is, I don't know.

Anyway just thought I would comment on that.

    Too many to mention.
    But, a few that come to mind;

Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Abe Lincoln, John Lennon.

And, one of my all-time heros, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin

Many famous people are actually boring to be around...So in addition to Ben Franklin, i'd like to meet people like Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) and Einstein. Both seem to have had good senses of humor and would likely be good conversationalists in general.

And Ben Franklin was a party animal.
