Bono = Insufferable git. Also, U2 have recently moved base from Dublin to the Netherlands to avoid paying tax in Ireland. Nothing wrong with that as a business decision but, at the same time, Bono has been heaping criticism on the Irish government for not diverting more of Irish taxpayers money to his pet causes in Africa. So he's not just an insufferable git, but a hypocritical insufferable git at that! |

*Chuckle* I see your point Thomas. Always one to add an interesting point. For me anyone who has the best part in BandAid has my respect. Sometimes that song makes me cry. (It's the feed the World chorus.) Personally I'd love to see U2 live in concert. I bet it would be an absolutely rocking time. |

| IMHO bands should stick to making music and entertaining people and stay out of world politics, however, anyone who has followed U2 knows that they summarily dismissed that idea, and feel obligated to do the opposite instead. To me, their music makes up the difference, and so I am able to overlook Bono and his silliness, and put up with his self righteous mini sermons, because it is inescapable to me that he is a very anointed musician. I take the good with the bad. |

I also understand them being political. The first time I saw Crosby, Stills, and Nash, there where FBI, plain close, and uniformed cops all over the place. This was in Saratoga, NY the day that the Rockefeller drug laws went into effect on Sept. 1, 1970. One of the best and scariest concerts I've ever been to. Enjoy the show and let us know how it was. First time I saw the Grateful Dead and Little Feat was in Tampa | |
