Banner ad on WF that doesn't follow the rules!?

It was to my understanding that all banner ads MUST just be plain text (black, red, or blue) as if they were simply text ads.

But then this...

So is that rule no longer in effect? Or is it okay if the image is small enough?

EDIT: For those who don't get it, there's an image of a mouse cursor on the right.

But this one didn't meet the guidelines.
It's not just text, and it was still approved.

This is what I wanted to tell. Every ads undergo a review session before going live. If there is any violence of guidelines, the ad will never go live.

I have no idea what the review process is - and only those who approve ads know that.

My point is the guidelines aren't carved in stone - and an approved banner ad meets the rules. It's a non-issue for us and between the advertiser and the forum mods/admin.

The screenwriter has to follow formatting rules but the producer can write and format it any which way he/she pleases.

Unless something has changed in the process, the banners are not approved prior to going up. I've seen banners pulled in the past for violating the rules but that was back when the red wasn't allowed. Apparently, it's allowed now.
