Hello Warriors

I recently found the perfect .pro domain and registered it. I used 123-reg to register it. On the sign up it says

Licence number:
info popup: Your ID or Licence number within the professional organization. If not applicable please enter NA.

So, i put NA. The following fields are Profession name, Authority, Authority Website.

I plan on marketting amazon products with the domain so as you can see. hardly a professional organization. I didn't do all this research till after.. but there's nothing online to suggest anyone having the domain removed. My question is.. who will ever check or find out? The .pro domains offer (for more money) different levels like .med.pro etc, for professionals. Just like edu and .gov

.PRO domains are supposed to be for licensed professionals (doctors, accountants, realtors, etc). They modified the rules so that you can have one if you're a business licensed in the relevant field.

So, yeah. If you just bought one to use for marketing Amazon products and they find out, the registry can remove the domain. I don't know how likely that is, but I wouldn't rely on that domain too heavily once you start promoting it.

That's what i figured. Wish they didn't make it so easy to buy. After realizing my mistake, I didn't really want to put a lot of time into setting it all up.. to be told it's going to be removed, after lists have been built etc. I'll just take the hit for the money and look for something else.
