Ranting at Microsoft.

OK, I need to rant about Microsoft:
  1. Windows 8 sucks ass. With the amount Microsoft are spending on advertising, this could well be the biggest flop in history. My new Samsung Ultrabook is awesome, especially with the touch screen. So why spoil it by preinstalling Windows 8? I had to install some freeware to put a start menu back so I could find all my applications!!!! Oh well, who cares about Windows 8 when the masses are glued to their iPads and Kindles. I've only just had a quick play with a Kindle Fire, but it was just the right size to do a little web surfing and play Angry Birds. 2013 will belong to Apple, Amazon and Facebook.
  2. I've just tried signing up with Bing Ads but can't solve the captcha. I tried like 20 times . Surely the brains at Microsoft can figure out robots from humans without stopping humans from actually registering.
It's a shame, because I'm a software developer and Microsoft's C# programming language is awesome. But even their server market is under threat now - I used to use SQL Server, now I've no hesitation in recommending MySQL for bigger projects .

    GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!! M/S has been trying to take over the internet for a bit over a DECADE!!!!!! They had lots of suits, and bugs have held them back. One of their last attempts was to POLLUTE Java by polluting the code and documentation pool, and "training" programmers. They did that with a product they called J++. Visual J++ - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It was a companion to VB and C++. LUCKILY, SUN was too smart for that and SPECIFICALLY forbid any such sabotage in their license. To put it simply, the license said that people like microsoft were forbidden to have ANYTHING to do with java if they did such things and did not make the lack of compatibility CLEAR! That would be easy for M/S to do, but would obliterate their attempts to succeed. So Sun SUED M/S, and WON! M/S's response? C#!

    They tried to have VB script, IE, ASP, ACTIVE X, J++,J#,C#, IIS, frontpage, etc..., take over. LUCKILY, new programmers keep wising up to the fact that it is NOT standard, and they are better off sticking with the standard. Even M/S eventually dropped VB Script for the earlier Javascript implementation.

    They have some GOOD things. They even carried some standards that apparently died, though they were good. I don't know WHY they insist on this garbage!
