Greetings warriors!

First of all, thanks for taking the time in reading this.

I am very glad of being a member of this wonderful community wherein people are helping one another and sharing their knowledge to everyone. I used to be a content writer, before I became a public teacher and I must say this forum has really helped me a lot.

So let me introduce myself.

I am Mylene P. Tugas, a public school teacher assigned in a far-flung area of Iligan City, Phillipines. I am the Class Adviser of the Grade Six class, and I teach Science and English.

For the past two years teaching in Ampucao Elementary School, life is terribly difficult. We need to ride on a motorcycle, best known as Habal Habal in the Visayan dialect, since it is the only means of transportation to reach the school. Aside from that, we need to stay for the whole week in the school because of its distance as well as the dangerous road.

Some people often say that it takes calling for us to keep going and continue educating the young minds in that area, and I believe that it's true.

Our students generally come from poor families. They barely eat nutritious food daily since the soil is not fertile to grow fruits and vegetables. Aside from that, they live far from the school that they need to start walking by dawn so that they will not be late. Moreover, these kids are not well-provided with the best educational materials and school supplies by their parents due to poverty.

This is the reason why I created a video where I put together the message I wish to paint in your minds.

Thank you so much for the time!

Merry Christmas!
