Don't take it personally......

I don't know where else to put this, but it needs to be said, probably again.

When you decide to start a thread in any part of the forum giving advice about how you do things, don't take it personally when someone disagrees with you. Your methods are NOT the end all be all to internet marketing.

I've seen it a number of times and it happened again today. I replied to a thread stating something I whole-heartedly disagree with teaching because, to me it makes absolutely no sense. I won't mention the thread (the OP took it down) or the method here, however.

Usually the method mentioned aligns with whatever has been promoted in the signature of the OP. I wasn't even the only person that disagreed with the strategy or flat out said it was completely wrong and backwards, in my opinion, of course.

Why do the OPs take their threads down once someone disagrees with what they say? They started with the idea of using it as marketing instead of to help others, but once it becomes negative and a few senior members disagree and offer a better way, they no longer see the benefit.

My point is, if you post in the forum and you truly want to help people, don't take it personally if someone disagrees with your strategy. What's sad is, half the time the OP cannot handle the disagreement and can't even defend their strategy.

Just needed to rant a little.

Benjamin, a member can only delete their thread if no one has replied. Once someone has replied it can only be deleted by a mod.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

A Moderato General took it upon themselves to relieve that thread Benjamin is referring to of it's duty for reasons we need not know. It was mine. Apparently Benjamin is suggesting through a thin veil that I was overwhelmed by a blinding light of disagreeing "senior member" authority (whoever that happens to be) in which I shriveled and perished under their supreme dominance in discussion and thus closed the thread myself in his blind act of ill founded assumption and accusation which was, ironically, the very cause of the original conflict.

Why a tale so bizzare could be fruitful inspiration for the great Twitchcock...
