Some players make their guitars talk, Roy makes his cry.

At the time, Jeff said this was the hardest song for him to play. Very unique with sounds made on a guitar not heard before. Some guitar players make their guitars talk, JB makes his guitar sing.

This would be a great weekend to be in Colorado hanging out with Kurt...!

Edit: Uh oh, bringing a tele into the picture now.... More obsession. I actually prefer them for country over blues, but they are awesome blues guitars too. Fenders are just awesome.

I really love the telecaster. When the player gets it right, like Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan, nothing sounds better. If I could play, I would probably have played a telecaster.

And...JB's "Guitar Shop" album cover is 1 of the top 5 best album covers of all time.

We were talking about "hard to play" and many think that shredding at 100 mph is the hardest. But JB said "Where Were You" was the hardest for him to play and he was reluctant to play it live because he said it was so hard for him to stay in tune when he bent the strings. This is an example were delicate touch and feel are harder than pure speed.

Absolutely. A good distinction. Ten or twenty years ago Fenders were Americas fave guitar, but they all turned their heads to the fact that the tremolos knocked them out of tune if you even BLEW on them...Players had to be much more sensitive.

Much respect to Beck on this fabulous song. Nowadays fenders have a different two point tremolo system that stays in tune alot better, and also they use schaller tuners... much better. Big improvement over the ole vintage tuners.
