    Awww!

    He's adorable Bravo!

Dachshunds are one of my favorite breeds of dogs.

Oh, he'd make one cool Santa dog too. With the red blanket, it looks like he's wearing a Santa hat.

I love Dachshunds. I didn't realize the pics were so big. I just deleted the last two.

I usually will say something if the pics are huge, but your dog was so cute, I couldn't bear to call you out on it.

My family raised and showed Miniature Dashshunds,Miniature Pinschers and Samoyeds when I was growing up. We all three kinds, smooth hair, wire hair and long haired.
At one time we had the top winning dog in the AKC,and my parents were getting almost $1000 to stud him out. And this was in 1970 dollars!
Thinking back I should have demanded a cut of the action because my older brother and I did all the kennel duty.

Great Pic Bravo, Dashshunds are great dogs.

You both look so comfy! The pup is cute, amazing how some dogs love to sleep on their backs.

My brother has kept dachsunds for years. They're cool little dogs. He had one that would sit in any pose, so he took a lot of funny pics with that one (wearing a hat and tie and sunglasses was one, leaning back in a recliner with a beer propped by his paw and a cigarette hanging form his mouth was another).

On another note, I kind of expected you to have long hair. Not like your Zappa avatar, but not as short as mine.

My impression was the same as Dennis's -- where's your hair?

Never had a dachshund, but have known a few. I never saw a dog that I didn't think was special. He does look like he's lovin' life with ya - and in my book that makes you okay - even if you are clean shaven.

To many grey hairs these days. Don't want to go around looking like Timothy Leary. This is how I looked a few years ago. That's my youngest sis. She's 16 now.

        Cool pic man!

Man I miss long hair... when it started going out on the top though, I decided I didnt want to go around sporting the "Frier Tuck" look! lol

        Just kidding...kinda

Actually the truth is that I had a dream that God told me to grow my hair out, and in the dream he instructed me that I should not touch it even to layer...just let it grow. It was so vivid and impressed me so much that I heeded for 6 years.

In the dream he told me that he had a reason and he would tell me when to cut it.

Hope Im not crashing Bravo, but I thought this might interest you.

6 years later, I went through a HUGE failure, and lost my wife... and I had ONE SINGLE DAY of my life when I really hated looking in the mirror... and I wanted to end it all. Seriously. I hated the failure in the mirror that day, so bad I just wanted to erase him altogether.

Thats the only day I ever remember feeling THAT bad... (Og Mandino had a day like that too).

Then right when I was seriously contemplating it...this little voice inside said "I told you I would tell you when to cut your hair- Its time".

And I did...then I looked in the mirror and you know what I didnt see any more?

The same guy I saw the day before that was a failure.

The person in the mirror was new and different, and I didnt hate him...he was like a new person. The person I wanted to end when I had looked in the mirror earlier wasnt there there anymore...

Then the voice softy let me know "See, six years ago I knew this day would come, and I knew you would need to refresh the way you saw yourself, thats why I told you to grow it".

Call me flaky, but that happened.

Anyway, on my best day my long hair wasnt as cool looking as yours here bravo.

        -JD

Ps. Also, at the time I described , I had an office of 100 people..., the internet was new, there were new professional freedoms...and it was considered "hip" to be a business person with a long pony tail... it made you look more "internetty", I guess.

Nothing nicer than snuggling up next to a dog for a nap.... except for today when it's over 91 degrees, and tomorrow is heading up around 102!

That kid is 16 now and you say "a few years ago"? LMAO. Yep, quite a few, eh? So grow it out grey - it's distinguished. If it will grow, let it - and get a cowboy hat. No body jerks with a long haired cowboy. No matter how old he is.

Now that's more how I had you pictured in my minds eye, Bravo. Your hair is about the same length mine was about 40 years ago.

    Mine, too. LOL.

The important thing though is that Sparky has HIS hair, I guess.

A guy snoozing with his best pal - the dogs all comfy and has this big grin, did you notice? Nope - you noticed a male dog has balls. Ever wonder about your point of focus? Dude.....seriously.

Maybe that's why Sparky's called a weiner dog?
