I don't want to be anyone else though. Sure, being a billionaire sounds good in theory, but you never know what they have to go through on a daily basis or what people have going on. What kind of problems they have and etc. The grass is always greener...

To be honestly, don't you even think about why you are not a black person? Why you aren't girl? If all of people think that someone ask this kinda question need to get off the meds, then I guess there are not science anymore.

Perhaps you are wonderng why you couldnt have been born into another country, race, or into a different family or economic situation?

I dont know.

But I do know that this life is just a millisecond in eternity...so take it with a grain of salt and just see how far you can go, and how much you can experience with what you are and who you are while you are here.

Pick something you see that you want to move toward, given all the elements that are you... something that excites you and makes you passionate...maybe the idea of making money online? Who knows. And move toward that thing. I cant be black no matter how much I might want to , let's say, but there are a million things I CAN be.... There is no lack of things in this world to inspire your passion, or ideals to pursue that will create an exciting experience for you.

This is not the end all be all...and if it were, individuals lives would be too insignificant to matter... just like grass growing and dying on the earth. We would be like that.

If there IS more...then dont worry, you will have a perpetual chance to grow and experience.

Thats the way I see it.

When I was a kid I would often ask a similar question: "Why am I me? Why am I not another person? Why is my consciousness centered inside this particular body?"

Years later I came to understand that there is a clear spiritual answer to that question, but that is a discussion topic not allowed in the Warrior Forum.

However, I still don't quite have an understanding of exactly how our consciousness is actually anchored inside of our person. But I do not believe that it is now or ever will be transferable to another person.

A person is the sum of their parts. Some of what I know applies ONLY to me, and do you think taylor swift would be at the same point if she were some ugly male with a raspy voice?

So NOPE,, just the brain wouldn't do it. SOMETIMES it might come close or may not be an issue, but OTHERS?....

How do you know you're not me, or I'm not you? Perhaps what you call you is a fragment of a larger whole who has chosen to experience life from multiple fragmented perspectives.

I just skimmed this thread - I'll admit it. But I wanted to give my answer and then go see what Dennis and John had to say. Caught Thom's - saw that coming. LOL

Just because you have another person's memory does not transform you into that person. Your body chemistry is not the same as mine, so with my memories, you still want react situationally as I do. Although you would know me and we would share the memory (unless mine was wiped to give to you), you will build new memory as you are predispositioned to perceive them. You still would not actually be me -- not really sure if you would still be you, though.

Reminds me of the Lindsay Lohan movie "Freaky Friday". Swapping bodies with someone, doesn't make you that person. Having all of that person's memory doesn't make you that person. Being "possessed" by a spiritual entity doesn't make that entity into you.
