Yet Another Shooting (Thankfully No One Was Killed)

Geesh, it's turning out to be a bad week. There was another shooting in an Alabama Hospital that made the news today but thankfully officers were able to stop him before he actually killed anyone. He shot 3 people...

And another thing, why do these media sites focus so much attention on the shooter giving them the fame they more than likely wanted to receive other than the victims of these things?

The majority of these shooters are psychotic, have mental stability issues and want that attention from the media. If just for once, everyone was to erase them from their minds and name just one of the people wounded or killed in a shooting, it might have less of an effect and future psychopaths might not be as prone to do so.

    Good question - I turned on the news tonight and it's the same coverage on all news stations. So far, it's been over 30 solid hours of constant talking about the Conn. shooting. Not difficult to understand how someone unbalanced would think "I'll be famous" or "I can make a statement".

      The Iceman is a perfect example of this.

      This guy LOVED every minute of television interviews and fame he was getting. I've seen every one of his interviews and he wanted people to think he was the worst human being to walk the planet. He actually gets mad at one point when him and the interviewer are laughing because he says,

      "You know, people are going to think i'm a nice guy after seeing that, and I'm not a nice guy."

      He was just a simple family man who worked for the mob. He loved the attention, just like the majority of these shooters do.

    You know why John Lennon was shot? They asked the shooter! The shooter acted like a fan, etc.... So WHY did the shooter shoot JOHN!?!?!? He was PLANNING to shoot a LOT of people, but settled on john because he was available. But *****WHY*****! Because, and this is what HE said..... Because if he shot someone FAMOUS, everyone would hear of it and HE would be famous!

    That is not some theory, conjecture from some stupid announcer or some investigator, that is what the shooter HIMSELF said!

    I will NEVER understand why so many want to be famous just to be famous, but they DO!
