Who has the best avatar on the warrior forum?

In sales it's ABC -- always be closing.

In marketing it's similar -- always be marketing. From your logo to your signature to your copy to your links, everything is marketing.

For many warriors their avatar is one more aspect of marketing. The avatar can draw attention. It can create an impression. It can inspire trust or it can simply be amusing.

So, from a marketing point of view, who do you think has the best avatar on the warrior forum, and why do you think it stands out above the others?

In my opinion anyone who uses their real face has the best avatar.

You use your real face and you look like a friendly person, so it seems to work for you.

Some people use their real face but don't have such a straightforward photo. One example would be Caliban Darklock. Would you say his avatar is effective?

      I agree.
I'm suspicious of anyone who doesn't want to show their real face.
Particularly in a marketing venue. ie. The Warrior Forum.

Why what difference does it make? It's just a trend.

It doesn't make a difference to me, personally. I don't trust you any less for not using a real photo than I trust lcombs, who I'd guess is using a real photo of himself. Then there are those who use real photos, but they're not actually photos of themselves. That's another story.

We've had very real scammers here who were using photos as avatars. In that light, it's foolish to automatically boost ones trust in another simply due to the presence of a photograph.

And I know my avatar image fosters trust in everything I say.

I'd say Alexa Smith but she keeps changing the darn thing every time I look up.

Second place I give to Dan C. Rinnert. Now THAT is one cool Avatar.

Third place goes to Paul Myers. Waited years to see what that old guy looked
              like.

    Mine! haha

Never really felt the need for an avatar or sig anywhere since I don't do B2B. I use the discussion forums for discussion. 90% of you are glorified forum spammers. lol

But a word on avatars that are people's photos..... If you are going to do that and your posting motive is round about marketing, make it a professional photo. Put on your suit and tie. At least try to project an image that you are more than just some amateur.... because those crap quality personal photo avatars that you see all over don't get it done.

Notice the impressive train in the background signifying efficient technology, progress, and that I'm well traveled. Also note how I'm looking off into the distance to show that I am hopeful for the future.

Extra side note I made up the above stuff just now and in the pic I'm in Amsterdam and super high.
