Facebook Scam - Beware of This One Floating Around


I received the scam FB email below and wanted to let you know so you can be prepared if it shows up in your inbox.

The 'Please let us know' link goes to the location: http ://datingcool2013.info/link.php?user=MyEmailAddress@gmail.com&id=B383B057 B15B&key=CD67586CC909A

I did not click the inks and before you ask...No, I didn't bother to get in contact with Facebook and don't intend to. You can if you choose to. I checked my FB account where I use this gmail user name and it works perfectly fine.

    Thanks, Bayo.

    Everybody should know not to ever click a link in an email unless you know who it is from and in PARTICULAR anything that asks you to verify any confidential information.

    Always close the email and then login to the program where the email supposedly is from to check your information.

    If you click a link to a PHISHING SITE, it may look like you are at your Bank, Paypal, Facebook, or Wherever, but you aren't and when you put in your information it is being recorded somewhere by some miscreant/clickbot who will then use the info to login to your account.

    (Got one from Payza.com the other day and did the routine above, only to of course confirm that they didn't need any confirmation of my information) ...

    Anything FB related is a personal info. nightmare waiting to happen.

    I bet identity thieves troll that site with ease. All those sheeple willingly giving up personal data. Crazy stuff.
