I have officially annoyed myself here.

Having read your past couple of threads, I understand exactly what you're talking about.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

It's nice to be understood. We are in agreement on that.

That's just what I was doing. We were building train tracks, setting up bridges and whatnot for his toy train set. He did most of it himself.

And now you're here . . . so you must have annoyed him too.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Not him so much as his mommy.

Kids are pretty smart these days.. I visited my 3 year old niece two days ago. She figured out how to swipe through the photo collection on my smart phone. She'd sometimes press the screen too long and the photo would zoom in and she wouldn't know what to do. So, she'd tell me to fix it and I only did that twice before she figured out how to do that too.

Her grandma was telling me to take away the phone from her coz she might drop it but her she was swiping like a pro.

My son is like that, except like a typical dude he doesn't ask for directions on how to do it and tries to fix it himself, making a mess more often than not.

Yeah. Sometimes I drive myself nuts waiting for glitches and whatnot to be resolved. At such times I should read a book with actual pages.
