Patti Page, '50s pop star, dies at 85.

I'll never forget this one as my parents played it for me the first time I asked for a puppy.

I think Pop Star had a different meaning back then because my Pop loved Patti Page.

It's sad that we see people not related to us, come into our lives and then we find out that
they are now gone. I haven't though of Patti since before my father passed away but I do
remember him rattling on about her when I was younger.

Terra, Thanks for letting us know about this. I hadn't heard anything about it on the news.
I've been busy and with all the stuff going on with politics lately, I've not been turning on the
TV much. To depressing so to speak.

Hey, how do you even know about Patti? Oh, your parents played that for you, Wow!
Hard to believe that you being only 23 that your parents were even old enough to know
    of Patti Page...

    Have a Great Day!
    Michael

My mom used to sing this song around the house. When I saw the thread title it immediately came to mind. Mortality. It catches up with everyone.
