Insects don't usually make into tabloids, but are definitely more useful to the world than celebrities. What is your favorite insect?

I've come across various types of tarantulas and wolf spiders (similar looking if not the same). A tarantula's hairs may sometimes actually be worse than its bite:
Urticating hair - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Many tarantula species will frequently kick bristles off of their abdomens, directing them toward potential attackers. These bristles can embed themselves in the other animal's skin or eyes, thus inducing physical irritation."

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Yeah...they have shot cockroaches with all kinds of pesticides, nuclear blasts - even gave them cancer - and they just flip you off and say, "Geez, is that all you got?" :p

If Spiderman meets up against Cockroachman, he's in big trouble.

They determined a couple years ago that one creature had a VERY stable DNA structure! A colony of THOUSANDS could be formed from two parents, and have them all mate with one another with virtually NO mutations!

    The creature? A BED BUG!

Yikes. Nasty critters. If I was involved in real estate development, I'd get buildings designed so freezing cold air could be blasted within the structure to kill the critters if they ever make an appearance. That is what one Australian company does.

For the record, I HATE bedbugs, and similar creatures. People lauded roaches for survivability, so I 1-upped it.

I actually kind of like praying mantises. I kept some as pets once.
