What do you guys think of Bowie's new song and what is he telling us?

    I'm a big fan of Bowie. I found this song depressing though there is a sort of compelling meandering melody that draws me in. He's got an awful look of anguish on his face. I'd say some of that comes from the way the video was shot but some of it seems to be real. I think the lyrics are probably personal though there's enough there for people to relate to.

    I believe it has that quality that will allow people to find their own personal meaning. There seems to be some trace of hope toward the end but by then I was almost consumed by the somber mood.

    I think I'll go and watch "Heroes" live.

    The line: "The moment you know, you know you know" is a great lyric...

    But as far as all the German city/street references...I think people will get lost on that...(unless you've been there...)

      Didn't care for the song at all.

      Reminded me of a rambling poem of the 60's to tell you the truth except a bit darker.

    Per usual - very weird but I'll probably like in 5 years like all other Bowie songs - they need to marinate for a bit before I love them.
