The reason that's just a dumb idea is, most likely everyone involved in the strip club is willingly participating, even If some of them are crack heads. The strip club is also probably paying tax money to the community, doubtful the school is paying any money to the community. Not trying to justify strip clubs, but most of what happens in this world revolves around money. Even churches revolve around money.

There are lots of reasons why it is stupid. A number of strippers I've known experienced extreme sexual harassment...in their previous jobs...as lowly paid waitresses, corporate secretaries (I kid you not), legal assistants...and that is the skilled ones. A good number of them are single mothers. The others, who aren't skilled, will be driven to:
      1. Welfare
      2. Crappy low-paid jobs that mean less time taking care of their children, not earning enough money to pay for day care.
      3. Driven underground to more dangerous ways of making money.
      4. Doing online peep shows and getting paid well, having more time to spend with their children, more money to pay for their education...Maybe I should go over there a do a social service by helping them set up online peep shows.

Ah, Ken, hello again again. Stripping is about as honest as work gets, lol.

LOL. For some folks, it is either that or extreme poverty. Others, who have a choice, actually enjoy stripping. Not all people are the same. Legislating morality is not the direction everybody wants to take.

            You're right, no stopping it.
I don't go around promoting XXX, myself. Too cutthroat. Not where I want to be.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Not really. They were neighbors and I had coffee with them sometimes. Never dated any of them.

Actually I've heard a lot of college students strip now because they can make better money at it and work less hours than working a "normal" job.

I doubt many strippers grew up saying When I get older I want to be a stripper (lol). I would imagine strippers work in strip clubs for one reason, money.

It's not easy shutting down a business that pays tax money just because some people find it offensive (I don't support strip clubs). You can't legalize something, have them buy a business license, then shut them down because a high school kid has a project to complete.

IMO the teacher is clueless on how a business license works. The city might shut them down, but the community would probably end up paying more in legal fees & lawsuits, then the business would start right back up once the courts said the whole idea was stupid.

You don't single out 1 business, you change laws for all the business in the same niche. That's the real world.

There is the result of liberal politics. It's "ok" to let your child go to strip-clubs and to get pregnant when they're 13-14 years old. But you're a evil son of a bit*h that deserves to burn in h*ll if you try to learn them gun responsibility...

Legally, it would be 18 years old in some North American cities, 21 in others. Anyway, as I understand it, they really don't get the kind of business they used to. This issue is pretty much going away by itself, lol, without high school students trying to make a club disappear from a location from which it would probably disappear anyway due to decreasing profits, gentrification, etc.
