I just got KICKED OFF of live chat at aweber...

Me: I have a squeeze page online. When people sign up, they should receive the opt-in confirmation email. I tested the squeeze page and upon entering my name and email address and submitting it, it brings up the following:

"An Error Occurred

"Notice:

"Sorry, the account you tried to access was not found in our customer records. To notify the website owner of this message, push the "back" button on your web browser or check some of the selections below for more information."

There are no selections listed below that error message. So what might the problem be? I decided to ask via Live Chat:

You are now speaking with Mary Henwood of Customer Solutions (CP).

Mary Henwood: Welcome to Live Support.

Mary Henwood: Did you change the list name after you placed the form on your site

Me: No, I haven't.

Next thing I get is this: Your party has left this session.

I'm sitting here thinking what the hell? Finally, almost forty seconds later, she comes back:

Mary Henwood: Are you still available?

Me: Yes I am. I got a message saying "Your party has left this session."
So if I may have changed the list name after placing the opt in form on the site, it would be incorrectly directed, right?

No response after a minute and a half...

Me: You there, Mary?

Mary Henwood: It has been several minutes since I have heard from you last. I am going to close this chat window, so if you have any further questions you can contact us here at 800-531-5065, or at help@aweber.com. Thank you for using our Live Support.

Geez!

I called the number, got Jordan and he figured out what the problem was without asking me anything about whether I changed the list name or not.

I guess word to the wise, don't use aweber live chat...seems Mary wasn't getting the connection.

Problem: Jordan checked the opt-in code on my squeeze page and seen that several lines of code are missing. No wonder it doesn't work!

So now I will go back in, delete the faulty opt-in box code and reinsert it. That should do the trick. (Only took an hour to figure this one out!)
