"Internet Saved Me From A Life of Crime"
I frequently come across people who feel the need to flaunt credentials, or if they don't have many, make them up. I suspect most people have BS detectors for made-up credentials. I'm actually pleasantly surprised and even impressed when someone says something blunt like,
"I'm a high school dropout with few credentials, and most of what I know is self-taught. I ran with gangs as a teenager. Most of my friends are either dead or in prison. I was in prison myself for armed robbery, but started to make an honest living when I got out. Since, understandably, most employers did not want to hire me, I had to find a way of making an honest living. I came upon the concept of making money online at a library computer and figured out how to make money online. " Or whatever, but something honest.
I actually know a couple of people sort of like that, but not in Internet marketing. One of them is an actor you may have seen if you like straight-to-video action movies, lol.
