Ron Paul should have been in there - but the press rules and people are blinded. Those familiar with him wouldn't think of electing anyone else. Write ins will be there unless he endorses Barr hard enough. It would be awesome if we can't get Paul back in there to have Barr VP him. If you have seen pics of the signs up in Minneanapolis right now you are as excited as I am by the event. I put the link in another thread - will try to find it. Look at the CBS logo right under the sign....does that mean that the press is trying to break free finally? I have seen signs that they are tired of being gagged and owned but am wondering whether they have gotten scared and angry enough to rebel and put out some info that will help wake people up and get active.

That will depend on if the MSM have the guts to choose liberty over money.

I would have voted Republican for the first time in my long life it Ron Paul had gotten the nonination. I am still considering writing him in.He is the ONLY person that ran that would have put this country back in the direction it needs to be headed.

So you people would vote for one of the two even though they do not represent you? Just because they might get in anyway is no sane reason to vote for someone you feel is not right. What is the future if these people do not see that the country is starting to veer away from them....especially in large masses. When you vote for the lesser of two evils you not only take every chance from the right one getting in, you send a message that you are willing to be corraled.

Better to vote for a third party candidate and lose than vote for someone you don't believe in. ........Ralph Nader.

That's why we need to vote for third party candidates...even to the state and local levels. We can't just end it with the President....we need to send a message to ALL levels of government. People, we MUST wake up and send a RESOUNDING message to our LEADERS AT ALL LEVELS! When this country was founded....it was with the understanding that the government would fear the people----ergo: freedom. When the people fear the government---there is tyranny! We are at the point of loosing ALL our constitutional freedoms we have taken for granted for the last 240 or so years!

VOTE! but when you cast your ballot....VOTE FOR THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES. The Constitution party's candidate: Chuck Baldwin ( Baldwin 08 - Let the TRUTH be HEARD! ). Also, Ron Paul still has a huge following. We MUST encourage everyone we know, on our e-mail lists, on forums like this one EVEN IF IT IS OFF TOPIC to VOTE. But to NOT VOTE in the two main parties.

The government needs to be reminded that they are our HIRED EMPLOYEES. Our taxes pay their salaries, and WE CAN FIRE THEM and post new guards for our liberties--as instructed in the Declaration of Independance. This is what we must do this election, before we all are running in fear of our government.

Sorry for the rant, but the American People MUST WAKE UP AND ACT! While we still have a constitutional system under which to act!

Just out of curiosity who did all you Ron Paul supporters vote for the last time he ran for president?
Just to refresh your memories it was in 1988 and he ran on the libertarian party ticket, though he was still a registered republican. (I voted for Paul then just so you know).

Honestly? In 1988 I had not heard of him. If I had and he ran on the same beliefs that he talks about now, damn right he would have gotten my vote.

He finished third.
Also his beliefs haven't changed at all.

And just so you know I'm not trying to be a ball buster here.
I'm really glad more people are hearing his message and finding out who he is and what he stands for. I don't agree with everything he believes in, but I do believe he is the most honest politician (in addition to Dennis Kucinich) we have and the only two who believe we should (USA) follow the constitution.

I'm going to add a correction on the YouTube video and little rant that I wrote. I thought the video was REAL NEWS, and was greatly alarmed about it, and still believe that we need to do a change up with our elected officials from the city dog catcher up to the President. But, the video was from Onion News and was SATIRICAL, NOT REAL NEWS. So, I apologize for being so gullible!

However, I'm still going to vote opposing the main parties and vote for candidates who I KNOW uphold the constitution. I'm very much fed up with the nonsense and pandering to corporations at the expense of the public welfare, safety and constitutional rights.
