Hi all,

I was wondering....does anyone think there any danger or security issues with doing online meetings?

I was doing a few online meetings using "google talk" and "joinme."

I noticed that my computer was sluggish after those meetings...and was wondering if somehow one of the meeting members dropped a keylogger into my computer?

Any chance of this happening?

~thanks for your help

Thre is ALWAYS a chance. It is probably UNLIKELY if you don't give them control of your computer, but most computers, ESPECIALLY windows ones, are FROUGHT with security holes. As for the slugishness, there are a OT of possiblities.. It loads software on your system to facilitate the meeting, it uses a few pages in your browser, it fills up the cache. It may use .net or java. ANY of those can slow down your computer. Clean out the internet temp/cache files, and reboot, and HOPEFULLY it will run much better.

    Hello,

It is possible. Especially if file, program or desktop sharing feature is active. Although, if your security products functioning and are up to date, it shouldn't be a problem.

    good luck
