We had a bit of weather here in the Tampa Bay today including
a couple of tornados north of me. One of them was in Wesley
Chapel Florida in the general area where Allen lives. WC covers
quite a large area and I have no idea where he is up there. You
can Google Earth the area by finding where HWY 54 crosses I 75
and going east on 54 about four miles to Curley Road.
On the up side, we finally had a good old fashioned rainy day.
Our drought is now in its 36th month and the fire danger was
getting extreme. Our normal rainy season should be starting any
time now. The Tampa Tribune info can be found at TBO.com - Tampa Bay Online
(See the headline "Pasco (County) Storms Hit area Hard".)

    G`day Tom,

haven`t seen a post from Allen for awhile but I don`t
hang here to much tho ... quite frankly the WF ain`t
what it used to be .. .. it is Easter to so maybe he
is off spending his IM squllions.

Only the 36th month mate? We`re in our 9th year of
drought here ... ... lol ... 120 mile away copped
around 6 to 14 inches of rain the past few days, we
have had light misty rain only.

I had a dirt lawn for 3 years, just greened up last year
but we haven`t had the huge falls needed in the right
places to fill big dams around here ... closest one is
still at 1% and been that for years ...

... and our Govt wants to build a $40 billion plus
broadband network ... hope someone can email me
some water in a few years  ... least I`d get it quick!

We do mosaic burnoff after rain every winter ... was so
bad here we missed a year from not only no rain, there
was nothing but bare dirt and very little grass to burn
... thousands of native trees died here that year, that
    is hardcore drought!

Hope you get some more rain to ..

No injuries or structural damage reported, Tom. Seems wherever he's off to - if it's near home, he's okay. No tellin' what's going on elsewhere, eh?

Its such an area up there. A few roofs damaged, an SUV turned upside
down in its own driveway, lots of close calls but fortunately no injuries or
    serious damage.
In other news a lady went to test drive a new Saturn at a dealership in
Orlando today and discovered a seven foot alligator underneath. Ponds
have dried up, canals are down, mating season has arrived and the gators
seem to be on the move. I can hear them when I get in bed at night and
all is quiet. In my old house I was near a canal and had a carport. I checked
under my car every day for years. I never had one at my house but the
neighbors had a six footer that wound up in their pool.

I'm here now! Thanks for asking.

Yes, we had some branches down and some leaves to rake up, but we did OK in the storm...the tornado was about 6 miles south of us.

I've just been in the midst of taking care of some personal thing, but that's all taken care of and I'm back and ready to go!

    Thanks again!
