How to obtain license from ICANN for starting a domain business

Dear Members,


I wanted to start a domain company like www.godaddy.com .

KIndly let me know how much dollars required and other formal procedures to start with.

    If you can't or don't want to meet the criteria, you might want to consider being a reseller or affiliate for an existing registrar.

      WOW! They lowered the price, but it doesn't REALLY make things easier. Oh well! I ALREADY have the policy. But $70,000 in the BANK(Not stocks, bonds, gold, etc...), and a minimum of $7500+ in the first year, is just a little too much.

      And I hope you LOVE competing with the likes of godaddy and wildwest. For those that don't know, there is a market for kind of SUBlicensing, and wildwest is a company godaddy started so THEY could bit into that market.

          I don't agree. The goal is to protect the integrity of the business and the safety of those who register domains with you....not to encourage people without back-up resources to enter the field.

            I was ****NOT**** claiming it wasn't proper, etc... I meant it was too much for ***ME*** and MOST. I always went in as a kind of sub registrar, with enom or wildwest or opensrs.
