I would be that tree in the desert somewhere that lives for thousands of years and it's sap is so strong that no bugs eat it.

  I think after debating about 2 different trees, I've finally made my decision.
  
  I was thinking of the Redbud tree that blooms early in the spring with gorgeous fragrant flowers in a variety of shades of pink and fills the air with the essence of spring as it ushers out old man winter for good. I hate winter!!
  
  But after much consideration, I have opted to go with the olive tree as it yields much.
  
  An olive branch symbolizes peace, to "extend an olive branch" means to offer peace, to offer a truce, make a peace offering or otherwise show your intent to put an end to a dispute. I hate contention and am often referred to as a peace maker, so it seems a good choice.
  
  Secondly, olive oil is very healthy for you and in this day and age where we have altered foods, processed foods, foods laced with GMOs etc., we need some healthy alternatives.
  
  And last but not least, I choose the olive tree simply because everyone who drinks martinis would love me! One can never get enough love, lol!

  I did a story several years ago for my newsletter or blog or something about a company that will turn you into gemstones after you die. The gemstones are either yellows or blues, I think they were just beginning to make pinks or clears - but they can't guarantee what SHADE of the colors you will be. You will be uniquely shaded determined by your body chemistry.

Of course...you will have a lot of people trying to hug you all the time :rolleyes: (dang 'tree-huggers')

So, if you're knot a 'touchy-feely' kind of tree...it might knot be the best for you...:p

  I don't want to be turned into something after death. I don't want to be a diamond or part of a necklace - just want to be cremated and released in the wind on the land I grew up on.
  
  If those ashes helped a tree grow, it would be either a maple or one of those sturdy lone trees you see surviving along fence lines that separate fields on a farm.
