Considering Name Change

I posted this thread a while ago explaining that i was considering changing the name for a blog i planned on creating. More info here:

I found that superbored.com is on sale for $60. That's more than i would like to spend on a domain, but i feel it is better suited for the niche.

Does anyone have any better suggestions or think it's worth changing?

Thanks

I don't know anything about your nice, but personally I wouldn't pay $60 for that domain name. I'd only consider it if it was a normally priced domain, like $8. I don't think superbored.com is a premium domain in any way, so charging that much seems fairly arbitrary. If you really like it, though, it may be worth it to you.

if this domain is going to be the only domain you will be developing and working on over the next year, then $60 for the domain name, superbored.com, is perfectly acceptable.

If if works for you, fits the theme of your site, and is easy to remember (which it is) then just do it!

It's a 13 year old domain, so that makes it worth a little more than a new domain. It's not banned at Google, but there are no links to it either. The domain age is really thing only thing going for it.

If you like the domain name, offer them $25 for it. Maybe they'll take less than the asking price or at least negotiate. Otherwise there's really no accurate way I know of to assess how valuable the domain name is. It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Thanks for all this info. I will get in contact with the seller and see if they are willing to negotiate the price.
