"Pitchmen" was the best show...EVER

Anyone watch Pitchmen tonight? That was an awesome show. In the end, one guys product was a failure, the other guy was set to make 3 million gross. That was AMAZING.

The other amazing thing was to see how much of a whinny diva Billy Mayes is. I was shocked by that.

Anyway, two thumbs up for that show. I hope it lasts a few seasons.

I saw bits and pieces of it...Loooks like it should be required viewing for anyone into marketing.

  It's about the making and marketing of those TV infomercials with Billy Mayes and Anthony Sullivan, and tons of other commecials. They pick some products, shoot the commercials, buy media ads and track the results.
  
  It really is an interesting, behind the scenes look at marketing...Should probably be in the Main forum.

I also enjoyed the show.

I kept thinking, There's got to be some way to test a product without it requiring all of the inventor's life savings.

Hmm, maybe this Internet thing could be part of the solution. D'ya think?

  Not gonna give away the ending but they actually give real numbers of how much money they made per dollar spent in advertising.
