Well, er, ah, um, I mean then how can I, er, um...

On second thought, I'll just leave that one alone. :p

I don't know why you left the profession, but it just occurred to me that there must be many awkward moments for nurses.

          Yes, many, lol!

I left after I worked in oncology. In just one months time, we lost six patients, but not just any six patients, six patients that were the nearest and dearest to my heart. One's that I had become quite close with. I just couldn't handle it anymore.

I discussed it with hubby and we decided that I would "retire", so to speak.

What is your reason/reasoning for that request, Thunderbird?

I'm thinking it has something to do with either his Priest...or his Scoutmaster...

None, really. . I'm not offended by that new verbiage -- just baffled by it. When I start hearing it from people in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond, I just think, please, this has got to stop. Watch reruns of Little House on the Prairie, read Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women" or Nathaniel Hawthorne's, "The Scarlet Letter." Please, whatever it takes, learn to talk old.

Jeez. Stop sweating the small stuff. When you are covered with circles from people poking at ya with 10 ft poles, then maybe I'll feel a little bit sorry for ya.

I'm licking your ideas, John, and they're salty.

(Nope, I have no idea what that means either.)
