Hey, I have a great opportunity for my Internet Marketing career.
This is a similar question, just want to have some opinions.

Here is my question:

WOULD YOU CHOSE 1 Million Subscribers on Youtube

OR 50.000$ ?

I am totally serious about it, just want to know what you would chose.

Youtube, only because I could then make the $50,000 in a short amount of time.

A bit off topic, but I've found that the people making big money are not the ones people know about. The "famous" ones tend to be the marionettes of the guys behind the scenes making the big money (the latter being the ones nobody knows about).

    Classic example are B-class celebrities.

      You mean $50k?

Depends what the subscribers are for. Don’t quote me but on average, I think you will make $700 from this list if relying totally on youtube ads that pop on the video.

Perhaps one could try instead an annotation directing to something that pertains to a lot of people, like weight loss or making money, even though the subscriber base may not be originally targeted for that… I don’t know - never had 1 mil youtube subs before.

      But that’s a thought…

NB: the yt thing for me would have nothing to do with fame. Just to have an audience and make money. Don’t know how you can do the fame thing with just 1 mil subs anyway - not to an extensive level.

Thanks, ye I mean, just a question.

So basicly its all about audience right? If the audience wants to buy, its better to go with "Fame" - right?

If it's 1 million RESPONSIVE subscribers, I'll take that over the money any day.

But I think, famous will get you some serious "Fan-Base" right?

It depends what kind of subscribers they are and what niche it is in, but a million subscribers has the potential to be a lot more valuable. Although that much cash up front would be really nice... I'd probably take the money just because I like the safety in it.

It would obviously depend on the specifics.

Can the Youtube subscribers be monetized? Or are they fake accounts?

I've heard from one popular Youtube video maker that an average video that gets 1M views will generate about $3000 in ad revenue.

So with 1M subscribers, if you could translate that into maybe 0.5M views for every video you post, you could bring in $1500 per video.

These numbers might be very niche-specific though, so there's really no telling what kind of cash you could generate with your own 1M subscribers. You'd have to make a few videos with ads enabled on them to find out.

I like money and I'd rather be broke than famous...

So OBVIOUSLY, I would choose the Youtube views.

I would take the money and make a hard money real estate loan at 12%. A nice $500 a month recurring income.

In this instance I would probably take the youtube video and develop and build around it to increase profit on a recurring basic.

However in the grand scheme of things. Money > Fame

I hate attention, any attention bought to myself by anyone I don't personally care about (Friends, family & colleagues) is unwanted and unneeded.

One reason why I dont particularly like my birthday, I had my 23rd birthday recently and my girlfriend organised a big party with about 75 people attending. I knew and cared for about 25 of them, the rest were tag alongs and there for the free drinks. I hated every second of it! But dont tell here that!

I would go for the subscribers,

As the figures there you could make the 50,000 fairly quickly with that many subscribers !

YouTube any day, $50,000 is hardly a lot of money.

Even if only 10% of your million subscribers were active, that's still 100,000 views per video, which at current rates would make around $300 per video (I think).

Anyways, lets say we get $100 per 100,000 video views. A video a day is an extra $700 a week, thats not even counting extra money you'll make from doing product placements, product promotions, sponsored videos, oppurtunites and so on.

If you hustled hard, you'd make waayyyy more $50,000 in the first year and thats with only a 10% active subscriber base.

Just give me the cash. I'd much rather be the eminence grise.
A $50kcash infusion into my trading fund would be significant. I can turn that $50k into a 5% return daily in no time.

Can't share my method. But I'll give you a hint...I trade mostly in the Futures market where returns can be exponential when trades move in your favor.
