OK...it's a little political - but seriously...where do these guys come up with this stuff? :confused:

Washington law maker wants to tax bicyclists because of all the pollution they create from breathing.

Representative Ed Orcutt (R - Kalama) does not think bicycling is environmentally friendly because the activity causes cyclists to have "an increased heart rate and respiration."
This is according to comments he made in an email to a constituent who questioned the wisdom of a new bike tax the legislature is considering as part of a large transportation package.
We spoke with Rep. Orcutt to confirm the email's authenticity and to get further clarification.
"You would be giving off more CO2 if you are riding a bike than driving in a car," he said. However, he said he had not "done any analysis" of the difference in CO2 from a person on a bike compared to the engine of a car (others have).

    HEY, it IS against the law, according to C&T! ALL things putting out Carbon in ANY form are to be TAXED!

    HEY, it IS the law to tax ALL creators of any form of carbon(C&t)! BTW a person bicycling should out out LESS carbon than one walking because it is easier and better handles inertia! That IS why bicycles were invented!

      Better start taxing them cows...they put out a lot of CO2 (AND methane) :p

        How about we tax the politicians? If we could get them to shut up that would drop CO2 emissions by 2/3rds or more!

    He's not joking - that's what the carbon tax is. They are going to start taxing us for being alive. It should be called the tax the life out of them bill. It's not going to stop until we all live in the streets. 34,000 scientists opposed the fraudulent basis for it - but the useful idiots think it will save the planet. We can defend against a gov - how do you defend against masses of people this stupid?
