Would you say there's more women or men in the internet marketing niche

just wondering what do you think the percentage split might be? Because my path has shown me more men working in this niche -- but according to the national mail order association there's 10 million more women online in general than there are men - so general logic would say there should be more women in this niche.

I know theres so many variables, but what do you think???

    More than 10 million online in general? Secretaries are women dominated. However, I bet most of those are unproductive social networking, etc. I know a lot more guys that don't have Facebook, than I do for girls.

    There's a few points on maybe why.

    I do think IM is still male dominated. IM is about being an entrepreneur and there are plenty of male entrepreneurs!

      Business in general is men. As a female try and get a group of women and talk running a successful business and you are flat out getting a few minutes, before changing to relationships , kids ect.. But might be a lot of closet Business's too, Hope there is.

    I have the definitive math that may answer your question:
    According to three consumer studies combined for the duration of the years 2010-2011, woman out buy men online 3.3 to 1, however those are vanity based purchases such as fashion, make-up, other diet and beauty products then magazine and then books.
    Interestingly enough, women buy 71.7% of all reading material in the western world markets. Books are a bit higher in the measure to men in that same market.

    Men usually started business but since internet marketing can be done by work at home or stay at home moms they would most likely dominate it soon.
