      The women in his life were numerous. He particularly fancied smart women.

      Harry traveled extensively. He only stayed in the finest quality AAA-rated campgrounds...

      Harry took fashion cues from no one. His signature every day look was all his: a plain pocketed T-shirt designed by the fashion house Fruit of the Loom

    I read the entire obituary. It seems to me that he was n eccentric who had earned the right to be so. It's a bit of a shame that the idiosyncracies took precedence over what he had done in his career and his altruistic work, but I suppose that is what one expects from an obituary.

      No, this is not what you expect from an obituary. You expect career details and accomplishments and "he served in the military from......."

      ...and you expect a dry list of descendants from the family tree.

      What you have here is a real person - full of opinions and activities and life - remembered in a way that celebrates his life rather than putting a period to his death.

    Definitely a great read, and as others have said, it definitely made you relate to the guy. Heck, I take my daughters fishing, love camping (by the water), hate daylight savings time, and want to be remembered in similar fashion.

    Now I'm off to learn more about this 'bacon of the month club' as I'm down with eating some tasty pigs myself.

    May he R.I.P. and his character 'live-on' and be survived by through his children.
