I really like this song:

It gets a lot better at about 3:15 when the orchestra starts playing. Yanni was torture for me up to that point (I cheated and skipped ahead - never have like his music), but to each their own. My musical taste isn't very reflective of popular music.

I can't stand Yanni. My wife's best friend works part time at the local place where a lot of shows are put on and got my wife (and herself) a free ticket to his show. They loved it.
Now why she couldn't get me an Ian Anderson ticket when he was touring TAAB2 I have no idea.....

Haha, while I have many favorite genres of music, Yanni is one of them. I do believe I have all of his cd's:p

Maybe this is a Canadian thingy(?) or female thingy(?), I don't know!

I love Yanni. When I lived in CO I had a big fire pit in the back yard and on hot summer nights we'd put the stereo speakers in the window and blast Yanni and start a huge fire in the pit. People would drop by from all over town to have a few drinks and socialize. Yanni was our opening music so people would know to come over. Everyone enjoyed listening to him under the summer night stars.

  The reactions in this thread were pretty much what I expected, maybe even the gender confusion, lol. However I'm all straight male -- gender-bending is not my thing at all, not that there's anything wrong with that. I guess listening to that music was the dark secret I harbored. That concert Yanni put on in the Forbidden City in Beijing, China, had a bizarre effect on me, seeing a Da Bizi's show bring tears to Chinese faces. He was like some kind of performing arts ambassador from Mars. It was surreal.
