What is the most realistic dream you have ever had?

Last night I had a dream that I was in a circus, performing the most amazing stunts, swinging from ropes to ropes, doing acrobatic tricks like I had never seen/done before, and I landed every stunt, and the crowd (as well as myself) went wild!

I can't explain the feeling... and when I woke up abruptly, I quickly / forcefully made myself fall back asleep, (since I was having so much fun... forcing my brain to think of where I had just been...) surprisingly re-entering the same dream, (which rarely happens to me) and to my amazement, I was doing even more complex tricks, swinging from cargo-nets around in circles, until I reached the top of the nets and then floated back to the ground in perfect form.

That's just one of many realistic dreams I have had lately...

What dream(s) have you been so freaked out with thinking that they are real?

Wow - cool dream. 'They' say that we all 'astral project' in our sleep - leave our bodies and fly! I am pretty sure floating is more or less the same.

Flying dreams are the most real to me because they happen in that 'twilight' area where you are still awake but you are asleep. I guess that is why I will always remember them vividly.

Once I flew down the coast highway (1) to Big Sur - through telephone wires, etc.

Several like this that were accompanied by a jet engine sound in my head. I hated for them to end - each time it was so disappointing to find myself stuck 'on earth'. Probably something miraculous like a pinched nerve.

My best one though is one where I became aware of an entity standing across the room, who had on a hooded cloak of white light - no face or anything just the cloak and I crawled out of bed (astral body) across the floor to reach Him and He told me, 'not yet'. Still waiting to see Him again and wondering when is 'yet'.

The most "realistic" is kind of hard to pin down, but one that was realistic and really cool (to me anyway) is one where I was playing the guitar. Now, I play around with the guitar a little, but I'm not good.

In this dream I was playing with all 8 fingers and both thumbs. Some strings were being strummed, some picked, and some bent ... all at the same time. The sound was amazing, I've never heard anything like it. What was even more amazing was I understood what each finger was doing on an individual basis. In other words, I was holding at least 11 trains of thought simultaneously - one for each finger and one that comprehended all ten as a whole.

Don't know if people remember the dream thread we had going here at one time, Jared. I still remember the one that I hit the same thought you sent.

For those of you who don't remember, a bunch of us were trying to send thoughts to each other...enter their dreams etc. It was an extremely interesting experiment.

Anyhow - I've been lagging lately. Not remembering dreams as well as usual. I did have a pretty vivid one a about a week and a half back though.

I was being held a hostage by a couple of men. Why...I don't remember, but I knew in the dream. Anyway - one of the guys came at me with a scalpel and I knew I was done for, so I took it away from him and cut him up - I don't mean a few slices, either - I mean I ribboned the guy. Needless to say I was able to escape and was driving around worrying about them having my family, so I called someone on my cell phone and they told me that the family was safe. I was in some awesome scenery and there was a road leading to some sort of restaurant/hotel - a scenic one like an old mansion, and I turned down the road to go there and woke up.

Thanks Jared -- I'm getting ready to write an ebook on dream control. Guess I need to start getting primed up and remembering my nightly advantures again. Not sure why I haven't been. I remember dreaming, just not remembering what they were. I haven't had a lucid dream in probably around 5 months now. Guess it's time to get serious again.

It's usually parking, with me. Backing the car into tight spaces without (or with) tapping people's fenders/bumpers, setting off their alarms, and so on. Dreams ... reality ... it's all the same thing. :p

I had recurring dreams of gunfights when I was a kid.

Most of the time, on a stretch of railroad tracks in my old home town in New York.

No one ever got shot, yet there was hundreds of rounds exchanged.

The action was so intense and real, I would often fall out of bed and wake up sweating and breathing heavy.

When I moved to Florida when I was 13,the dreams stopped.

More recently I had a really vivid dream about Miley Cyrus.

No ,not what your thinking, get your mind out of the gutter...

hahaha - wow - sadomasochistic torture dream!

(even if i have a half a block to park, i have to pull up and back, closer in and back and up and then all the way back out and then in and then farther away - it is never right). (or left)

sometimes i think if anybody is watching me park they might video tape me and i will see myself on caught on camera as the woman who uses a half a tank of premium just to park straight.

i am also a good driver at over 2 miles per hour.

I once dreamed that I lived in the Ice Age and that the ocean outside my house was gone (the sea level was 100 meters lower during the Ice Age than it's now), and it was a giant fresh water river instead where the ocean was. I hunted on deer with bow and arrow to gather food for my family and when I was finish with the hunt, I and my friend's father went down to the river to fish salmon. We bringed with us a six-pack of beer by the way

The weirdest one I had was also the most realistic as you'll see later on.

It involved me being trapped in a nuclear power plant wearing a deep sea divers outfit complete with helmet and weighted boots. As if that wasn't weird enough, I was trying to escape from King Theoden (as played by Bernard Hill in the Lord Of The Rings movies) on horseback.

Given the weighted costume moving around was very sluggish. Anyway, after much plodding around, I finally came across an exit door. The only hope of escape was to leap through that doorway.

Here comes the "realistic" part. Due to the weight, I had to summon up all my strength and psyche myself into it. Then just as Theoden appeared around the corner, I made my jump and actually leapt out of bed and landed on the floor. Ended up with bruises on my knees and elbows from the landing.

I've never told anyone about that before because of it's somewhat embarrassing nature, but I know I can trust you guys to keep it a secret. can't I?

PS. No, I didn't partake of any booze or substance before going to bed.

PPS. Now I've come to think about it again, a leap anywhere from a horizontal starting point is actually quite a feat.

        Right. So here it is:

While at Epcot, we stopped to catch the Beatles tribute show at the UK.(Those guys are TIGHT!) We always go earlier ,to sit at this one bench that is shaded for the afternoon show. My wife decides she wants a croissant from France, so off I went while she saved our seats.

There is a row of small cottages on your right, just before you hit the bridge between England and France. There she was. She said "HEY!" and gave me a hug around the next, confused, I said "Uh, Hi?". Grabbed my hand and into one of those cottages we went.

She picked up the phone , " Hey,Honey! I got a surprise for you!, Come to the chalet", Then In walks my Buddy/Bass Player Mikey.

I said " Dude, Really?" . And he laughed. The "Hell yeah!" Laugh.

        I laughed too.

        .
        Seriously.

Actually I have had a lot of dreams in which I murder people - sometimes extremely guesomely. However -- it has always been in self defense. I have never attacked anyone just to attack them. (awake or asleep). So - if you want in my dreams just come in peace or you'll leave in pieces.

What is even stranger - is that I am not bothered when I wake up by the violence. Of course, that type of thing can be very easily and normally explained. I will do so in my ebook about dream control.

I've had some pretty righteous ones, that's for sure. Last one I remember was a few nights back, I wrote a 300 page comprehensive guide to internet marketing... as if I was already some genius who knew EVERYTHING about marketing.

Anyway, in the dream, I was arguing with my wife and children because they wanted me to charge between $97 -$297 and include a video training series. I refused to hear it.

I released the book for FREE, with Give-a-way rights! -Naturally, the license for the give-a-away rights stated:

[Yes] You can give the book away, use it to build a huge email list, and/or share it with your membership training

[No] You cannot alter the content in any way, including e-cover, images, or writings
[No] You cannot sell the e-book, it is "free for all"
    [No] You cannot change authorship
[No] You cannot alter the referral links inside the PDF!

The dream 'fast forwards' to the book going viral... super hit with seasoned marketers and newbies alike...(because it was a great way for 'users/readers' to build their list giving this book away) -it was free and had amazing content value...

So, (now still in the dream) I'm laying in a hammock, roasting in the sun overlooking the ocean from the backyard of my new beachfront spread, and my wife is grinning as she's handing me a rum fruit smoothie... she says honey; "Remember back when I bitc*ed you out for wanting to give that book away?"

I said; "Yeah, what of it?"

She smiles, and says; "I just wanted to let you know you were right... and it was a great marketing strategy!"

The dream continues... and I'm now sitting at the computer checking the status of my (already built) training membership site, and I've got like a 1000 people 'happily' paying $97 per month to learn 'how they' can make it online too! = $97,000 monthly on autopilot!

Lastly, in the dream... I'm reflecting back, thinking of how hard I struggled to make money online, and all the while I just wanted to write something phenomenal back in those days (before getting super-wealthy)... and I started with zero internet skills.

Reality Strikes... I wake up on the couch drooling, my face was burning (as if it were sunburned), laptop still open (it too had went to sleep apparently) - and, I look at the clock it's 7:57am. I login to my computer, and I had finished my squeeze page, e-cover, and sales letter by 4:35 and apparently passed out, and I'm looking around at this dump I'm staying in, asking myself... "Why did you come back?"

Mind you, in the dream... everything that is hard in reality was a cakewalk, and all day I have been thinking... I need to write this book!

*perhaps not my best dream... but it just happened two nights ago.

    Art

PS - I had made millions off the affiliate links 'cloaked' in the FREE 300 page book!

Fin - dreams are very ignored in this culture. While some people start to get an interest in them when they are older - as children our dreams are dismissed as not important when we try to discuss them with adults. We start to ignore them. It's very difficult to start remembering, keeping track, or controlling them. If children were encouraged to pursue them, it would be much easier and most people would dream lucidly sometimes. In some cultures, such as the Samoan, children are encouraged to examine their dreams. The people have not only, an uncanning control of dreams, they understand what the symbolism is about. Your subconscious is pretty literal and uses symbols and allegory in communicating with you. Some people never get a handle on it.

Yep, I agree that it would be better to learn from a young age.

I can't even put into words how shocked I feel that people don't want to wake up inside the dream world where they basically have the power to do and see everything.

I can only imagine most people don't know about it, or maybe they are too skeptical.

I know what you're saying, but it's actually safer to remember your dreams. When you wake up and remember a nightmare it's easy to deal with. When you wake up feeling like crap and you don't know why it's much harder to deal with.

Lucid dreams are the same thing except you can deal with your problem, but I accept they can be scary sometimes.

Perhaps some are afraid that once they set up a wonderful, perfect life for themselves in the dreamworld, they will somehow, be pulled back, forced awake and end up having to live their dreary lives in this world again as they cannot seem to be able to return to the dream for some reason.

All a dream is, is the subconscious mind sorting stuff out. Any attack in a dream is actually a conflict that's going on inside of your OWN mind that needs to be dealt with. In a culture that understands the importance of dreams in mental health, people know how to deal with an attack in a dream. In societies that encourage dream control, there is very little mental illness or violence.

When I dream of an attack - I fight back. In a dream, when you fight back, you can win, unlike in real life sometimes. But an attack by ANYTHING in a dream is just a representation of an internal conflict, and should be dealt with head on. Running away will bring that attack back over and over in different forms.

I used to have a re-occurring nightmare of being in an elevator that would plummet. That's about the only re-occurring part of the dream. They were always different other than the elevator would plummet. I used to wake up. One night I decided to handle it lucidly and when the elevator started to fall I just went in consciously and said - "no - no more of this", pushed the button and stopped the elevator and got out. It was that simple to stop those dreams.

I had a dream I bought the winning lottery ticket and couldn't remember the numbers after I woke up. At first I tried to get back to sleep but couldn't get back to the dream. Mine comes from "controlled daydreams" / visualizations ---- just before going to sleep at night. Things I choose for the next day. They do not come true, but seems to "sensitize" my intuition to what is OK and what is NOT SO OK. But then maybe I am imagining it? Or maybe not.
