While Out fishing in the St. Lucie River today, we happened to see 2 of these sick amphibious quadski's being driven from the parking lot into the water as we were putting our boat in...

This things rip through the the water like nothing, and after what I seen today, they can handle some steep dirt embankments upon exiting the water.

Just thought I'd chalk this up on my vision board, and drop a post here, pretty cool stuff, and a price tag of $40k.

Nice, but then you'd have to live by the water where you could really use them. Those are rather pricey toys.

40 Grand? Hmmm - just took some of the "hey that things sharp" out of the picture.

One of those would be absolutely awesome for rockhounding out here. There's a lot of good stuff that you have to take to water to get to. At that price, though, I'm thinking I'll probably keep my sights on the 100 dollar 4 man raft

That's actually pretty good for 40,000. don't know if it is US street legal though.

@AprilCT - Yeah, I live in Florida so there's water everywhere, I can be in Lake Okeechobee fishing in less than 10 mins, and in the Atlantic ocean surfing in about 35 mins... so, yes living near water would help.

@HeySal - I hear that, $40k is a bit pricy for toys... we run miles and miles of waterways in a 'beater' jon boat with a 20hp outboard worth maybe $1,500 - $2,000 and it gets the job done.

@seasoned - considering the engine displacement, and the fact they are powered by a BMW motor, I think the pricing is fair. As far as street legal, I don't think they are to be honest.

@JohnDurham - Yep, added that one to my vision board too... that's another dream of mine to fly before I die!

"Light Sport Aircraft" - folding wings, and it's amphibious, gotta love it man!

I can see a friend who is coming to visit saying "Meet me at the airport when I get to your city..."

      And me saying back

"I have a better idea...Why dont I just meet you at the airport in YOUR city?" Then showing up in my own plane to pick them up...lol
