Too tall for my desk?

Guys, I spend a lot of time at my computer and I've never found a chair or desk which is completely comfortable.

I'm a relatively tall guy.. 6'0.. and my keyboard try is always virtually on my lap.

I suppose I could make my desk higher or something but ive never been able to make that work whilst keeping an ergonomic posture. Any ideas?

WOW, SMALL DESK! Can't the chair be lowered a bit?

I can relate. I'm 6'6" and there isn't too much
furniture that fits. You just try to make the most
      of the situation.

Same thing here, buddy. I just take breaks and stretch. I would love to here more suggestions though since it seems there's no chair or desk that I've been really comfortable with.

Well, I'm 6'1". If my upper thigh is flat, I generally have about 1" of clearance. My lower arms are ALSO about level. Many chairs may raise your thigh, and a few degrees could make a big difference. Luckily, MOST of those chairs are adjustable.

Have you thought about a standing desk? Maybe that would work for you (either standing up) or with a higher chair, or even a high bar stool. It's tough being a little too big for the 98% of stuff out there.

Standing desks are becoming popular in silicon valley and further afield, there are even adjustable height desks, although when you raise your normal seating position you need to make sure your thighs are parallel with the floor so you may need a footrest to raise your feet from the floor.

Stand up and a wireless keyboard and mouse. If you add a second monitor, your productivity will go through the roof.

You could always work at a bar and then write "Barstool Millionaire". PM me for where to send my cut.

But seriously, maybe: Office Furniture For Tall People, Office Furniture For Tall People Products, Office Furniture For Tall People Suppliers and Manufacturers at Alibaba.com

I also do like the idea of a standing desk. Changing body positions is usually good for the body and standing relieves back pressure.

Don't take it lying down, there is a solution. Or should I say do take it lying down . . .
