As a Canadian man walked along a beach in Costa Rica, he encountered fire ants, then felt a sharp pain in his foot. He saw the bite marks on his foot. Moments later his foot and ankle swelled up. He went to a Costa Rican clinic and said he thought he was bitten by fire ants. They prescribed antibiotics. He flew to Vancouver, Canada, and went straight to a hospital. There his vital organs started to fail and blood poured from his eyes.

As his kidneys started to fail, he was put on dialysis. The Canadian doctors figured out that he had, in fact, received a bite from the highly venomous bothrops snake. They tracked down a source of antidote at a Seattle Zoo and had it flown in.

Soon after receiving the antidote, the man dramatically recovered.

"'If they hadn’t gotten the anti-venom to me, my kids would be going to a funeral,” says Lovatt.

“We live in a great country, with a great medical system.'"

Soon after receiving the antidote, the man miraculously recovered.
Um.......he had anti-venom. What was the miracle? That's what anti-venom does. That's why they flew it in. There was no miracle - unless acute timing is now a miracle.

OK, "miraculously" has now been changed to "dramatically". Not sure I believe in miracles anyway, though I guess I see everything as miraculous.
