Question for experienced marketers & developers!
I have a question for anyone viewing this thread. Please feel free to give your honest input!
Let's say you have a new social app that is fun, and a twist on getting people to interact. What is the best route for growing the community? Do you advertise and market the app? Or do you focus on getting the app to spread naturally, like what we have seen with the likes of Instagram and Pinterest? Can you "promote" your way to success with a new social app?
If a social app does not take off right away, can you push it? Or do you need to tweak it until it naturally takes off? And if the answer is the second choice, do you study the people who are the most avid users, to find out what it is that motivates them to be so active while others don't seem to catch on?
