Are you building your business or building others assets.?

I dont have a fb account, believe it or not.
But i just cant be bothered with it.

But when i manage to find some rare species of humans who dont have a FB account too, i find it exciting! lol.

I was talking to an acquaintant and found he too had no FB account.
I asked him, "why"
He answered "i dont want to spend my time contributing to someone else's assets, i rather do spend my time building my own asset. "

I know it is a free service to connect with your frens etc.
Just like forums, u can learn stuff, contribute and also build a reputation and use it as a platform to build your business as well, for product launches etc.

But there is also a line, when you are spending too much time on FB that it becomes a waste of time, or even forums, even good forums.

Sometimes its just a good past time when u need to kill time, or a form of relaxation like you have spare time and just want to relax and surf forums/fb.

So ya nothing wrong with it,
But it was just an interesting conversation nonetheless to meet someone so rare like myself! hahaha

    Facebook has about 1 billion users. There are over 7 billion people in the world, ergo only 1 in 7 people are on Facebook. Not so rare after all.

      Always love stats!

      But i guess the other 6 are mostly from rural areas.
      Not urban or developed areas.

    According to this roughly half of the population of developed countries use Facebook.

    There's no way of knowing how many of these are active users though. Some of them
    (probably a lot) don't use it regularly.

    The only thing I use it for is to get backlinks to my "assets". I set up the account, set Wordpress to post a link to it automatically, and haven't been back there since.
