Jerry Jeff covered it I hear,but Michael Murphy wrote it (unless we are using the term "cover" differently?)

I partied with Michael Murphy's band one night thanks to a friend that I was going to Port Aransas Texas with. Michael Murphy was not there though.
A good time was had by all.
I can't find a version by Jerry Jeff either,the best I could do was a 30 second sample:

Yep. Steve wrote many great tunes.
Can't recall the specifics but I heard a live recording of Steve improving a song on stage by request. I think it was a Christmas song.

Now... How 'bout some more Merle...
