Need help with videos on thread.

Hi guys,

i just paid for a classified ad here on WF.

I was planning to put a YT video but i cant seem to figure out how.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is a post I made to a similar question a couple of weeks ago:

How to embed a video:

1. Copy the video link.
2. In the warrior message field write a title for the video: St. Patrick's Day Potato
3. Highlight that title and then, for effect, center the title and then click the Bold icon. That will place the video in the center of the post.
4. Then click on the link icon and paste the link into that field. That's it.

Oh, yeah. Sometimes you'll have a URL that starts like this https://

If there's an s there, take it out or it won't embed.

I've added a demo video featuring my girlfriend and her potato. :rolleyes:

  Okay, in each bracket just remove "goes here" and you should have it. You'll want to put your own title in of course.

I know how it feels to have the clock ticking, people looking at your offer when it's incomplete. I can put it up for you. PM me if you want.

  Ya its frustrating, especially when the WF is not loading normally.
  
  Each time i try, i have to refresh 3-5 times.

  Okay okay, i found out!!!
  In case anyone has the same problem.
  You have to go advanced, then check the box "embed media"
  Apparently that box was unchecked for mine!

Make it easy, go to the YT video page like you are watching it.
copy the url.
come back and paste it directly into the message area. it should show up like this:

The Fray - How To Save A Life - YouTube

  If it doesn't embed, cut and paste the title into the YT search bar, click into the video in the search results then cut and paste the URL into the WF.
  
  This rids of unnecessary URL additions that conflict with the forum protocol - or that's my theory.
  
  It usually works for me when all else fails.
